A Laureate Update

In June, Leigh was on the road in Perth and Brisbane for events with the state libraries in both cities. He also visited Perth schools in partnership with AISWA and Brisbane and Logan with the State Library of Queensland. It was a great chance for Leigh to meet some keen artists and creators.

Leigh gave this year's BookLinks lecture in Brisbane. Standing next to him is ACLC board member Robyn Sheahan-Bright.

This month Leigh goes local with workshops and talks in public libraries in Geelong and also in south-east Melbourne.

At the end of July Leigh will be the artist-in-residence at the Kimberleys at Purnululu School. This tour is supported by AISWA and promises to be a real highlight. We'll have photos and a report later this month.

In August, there's Book Week, when Leigh will be out and about in schools. He will also be at the new Canberra Writers Festival and at the Melbourne Writers Festival. Leigh will also be in New Zealand for the IBBY Congress and the famous Storylines Festival.

If you are going to any of these events with Leigh, make sure you bring a sharp eye and ready pencil.

See you on the road.
