As part of her tour of Tasmania Alison will be spending three days  in Hobart to celebrate the opening of the National Year of Reading Are We There Yet? touring exhibition.

As part of this program she will be spending a whole day with St. Therese's Primary School where they will hear talk about her travels, books and inspirations, what it's like to be the Inaugural Australian Children's Laureate and carry out an exciting watercolour workshop based on her Laureate project "this is my place."
