Can Children's Stories Save the World?

National 3 May 2018

We're thrilled that at this year's Sydney Writers Festival Morris Gleitzman and Chris Riddell (UK Children's Laureate 2015–2017) bring their experiences and unique perspectives to ask: “can children’s stories save the human race?”

Through reading, stories can help young readers to embrace their futures and an often dark and uncertain world with optimism, resolve and creativity. Maybe it's the best hope we have.

Morris and Chris will explore what writing – and reading – can mean for children today.
