Alison Lester at Ntaria School: This is My Place Workshops

Another highlight will be Thursday’s story workshops with Ntaria School drawing upon Alison’s book-making expertise. By taking quality art materials and an A3 printer with them on tour, Alison and the team will be making books written and illustrated by the children she works with at Ntaria as well as leading a creative workshop with teachers at the end of the day.

In May 2012 under the stars amongst the ghost gums, Big hART brought the Namatjira show to the community of Ntaria (Hermannsburg).

Then it was the community's turn. Direct from the homeland of Albert Namatjira in the Central Australian Desert, hear what the kids of Ntaria had to say, about their town, their lives and their experiences. They invited the country to tune in to a LIVE webcast from Ntaria School, as they share their story; the thriving living legacy to Albert's.
